Situated on St. Mary Axe, the very first 1Rebel gym occupies an approximately 745-square-meter (8,000 sq. feet) former office area which has been stripped down and reconfigured into an urban, energetic space by the young London-based architecture practice . ‘‘Our brief was to design a gym where each class felt like a night out,’’ Kyriakos Katsaros, founder of Studio C102, explains, ‘‘an event in its own right rather than a means to an end.’’
