One of Beijing’s newest luxury hotels, the New World Beijing Hotel, opened November 2013 and is centrally located in the historical Qianmen area, nestled right in between some of the city’s most famous cultural attractions such as The Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.
It is one of the first five-star hotels in the area and, in accordance with the district’s historical architecture restrictions, it features a low-rise design with a total of 13 floors and 309 rooms.
The interior of the hotel is filled with very traditional Chinese colors such as deep red, brown, black and gold and Chinese motifs and symbolism are heavily incorporated into the design. For example, lobby café has a two-story water fountain, an essential element according to the Chinese theory of fengshui.
