The biggest challenge faced by the Contract Workplaces team when it came to designing the offices of Geometry Global Colombia was reinterpreting the essence of their old offices, which had grown exponentially. As per the CEO’s instructions, the new spaces were not to be perceived as a change of identity; instead, the company’s identity had to be transposed to a new, unconventional design that revolutionized the WPP family, thus encouraging creativity and collaborative work.
The project was conceived following the premise of “pivotal moments,” a term characteristically used by Geometry Global to address their clients’ requests, and which references the process of taking an idea and generating radical change through action by finding ways to get teams interacting and mutually developing.
The offices take up a total surface area of 1,316.08 m2, which encompasses 188 workstations, a cafeteria, 5 conference rooms, a silent-booth area, an auditorium and some collaborative areas.
The design of the conference rooms and the open plan was based on the concept of merging classic films and futurism, which resulted in spaces that feel timeless. Some of the films used for reference were: The Matrix, Kill Bill, Mad Max, Back to the Future, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Ready Player One.
Another unique space is the cafeteria, which not only serves as a dining hall but also as an exhibition hall for the agency’s trophies and awards, and also as a stage for concerts, music lessons, parties and launch events.
The project perfectly fulfilled its goal, which consisted of generating new work dynamics while simultaneously preserving the essence of Geometry Global.
